Dr Vanessa Jones
B.Sc (Med) MBBS (Hons1) FRACGP
Dr Vanessa Jones graduated from UNSW medical school in 2003 with first class Honours. She then spent 3 years working at Royal Prince Alfred and Concord Hospital where she spent time practising general and specialist medicine as well as surgical and critical care medicine. She then spent 2 years at Prince of Wales Hospital where she practised anaesthetics, critical care and pain medicine. At that point Dr Jones decided to pursue a career in general practice, a specialty of medicine she finds immensely rewarding both for the variety it provides her on a daily basis but also the long term relationships she is able to establish with her patients and their families. Dr Jones particularly enjoys women’s and children’s health, as well as the provision of quality preventative care and management of chronic diseases.
Vanessa is also a medical educator, helping to train medical students and new general practitioners as they come through their training program.
When she isn’t at work she is a doting mum and wife to her 3 young children and husband. She enjoys nature and the outdoors, cooking, reading and scanning Netflix for her next ‘favourite series’.
